The floor you see sits on work you do not
Every flooring failure we have ever been called to fix — buckling, gaps, hollow spots, squeaks — traces back to what happened under the floor: subfloor not leveled, moisture not addressed, wrong underlayment, planks installed too tight to the wall. We do the prep work first, properly, so the floor you walk on for the next twenty years starts right.
What we install
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
The most popular choice we install, for good reason: waterproof, tough, good-looking, and kind to budgets. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, whole main levels. We level the subfloor first — LVP telegraphs every bump underneath it.
Hardwood and engineered hardwood
Solid hardwood where it belongs (above grade, stable humidity), engineered where solid would fail (basements, over concrete). Acclimated on site before a single board goes down — wood moves, and installing it the day it arrives is how you get gaps by winter.
Tile
Floors in bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, kitchens. Proper underlayment (not tile-over-plywood-and-hope), level beds, tight grout lines. See tile installation.
Laminate
Budget-friendly and better than its reputation when the subfloor is flat and the product is decent. We will tell you honestly where laminate works and where it does not.
Subfloor: the unglamorous part that decides everything
We check for level (a long straightedge does not lie), moisture (especially over concrete and in basements), squeaks (screwed down, not just nailed and hoped), and damage. Leveling compound, new underlayment, moisture barriers — whatever the floor needs before the finish goes down. This is the work cheap bids skip, and it is why their floors fail.
Transitions and trim
Where new floor meets old, where it meets tile, where it runs under door casings — transitions and shoe molding, cut tight. The edges are where installations look professional or amateur, and we finish them like they matter.
A note on prices: material and labor costs move up and down, and no two projects need the same work. Treat any numbers on this page as starting points, not quotes. Your written estimate after our free visit is the real number for your project.
