The repair should disappear
That is the whole standard for drywall repair: when we are done and you have painted, you should not be able to find where the damage was. Holes from doorknobs, cracks from settling, water stains from a fixed leak, nail pops marching down a hallway — we cut out what is bad, patch it properly, tape and mud it in coats, sand it smooth, and match your texture. Then it is paint-ready.
What we fix
Holes — small to "how did that happen"
Doorknob holes, fist-sized punch-throughs, the aftermath of moving furniture. Small holes get a proper patch; big ones get cut back to the studs and fitted with new board. No " California patch and pray" on anything structural.
Cracks
Stress cracks at corners, settling cracks, tape seams letting go. We find out why it cracked before we fix it — a crack from normal settling gets a different repair than a crack from movement that is still happening.
Water damage
This one matters: drywall that stayed wet needs to come out, not get patched over. We cut out the damaged section, check the framing and insulation behind it, and hang fresh board. If the leak is still active — roof, plumbing, whatever — we tell you to fix the source first. Patching over wet drywall is just scheduling a bigger repair later.
Nail pops and seam issues
Screws or nails pushing through, tape bubbling along seams. We re-secure, re-tape, and re-finish — and we check whether it is a one-off or a sign of framing movement.
Texture matching
Orange peel, knockdown, smooth — whatever your walls have, the repair gets the same. Texture matching is a craft; a flat patch on a textured wall is visible from across the room. We match it.
Our process on a repair
Look first. We see the damage in person — photos help, but touch tells the truth about how far damage extends.
Cut clean. Damaged material comes out to solid edges. No feathering over mush.
Patch and finish in coats. Tape, three coats of mud with drying between, sanded smooth. Mud shrinks as it dries — rushing coats is how you get visible seams.
Texture and walk away paint-ready. Matched texture, final sand, cleaned up. You paint.
A note on prices: material and labor costs move up and down, and no two projects need the same work. Treat any numbers on this page as starting points, not quotes. Your written estimate after our free visit is the real number for your project.
